FITNESS ASSESSMENTS AND EXERCISE PROGRAMMING
Our Fitness Assessment and Exercise Programming System is what really sets us apart from other personal training studios and gyms.
At Brooklyn Health and Performance, we pride ourselves on keeping up on the latest advancements in exercise science. We also believe that every successful system if going to take advantage of using hard data to evaluate their practice and to improve it. We regularly evaluate our system and refine it to make sure that it is the best system delivered anywhere!
Our assessment contains no fluff. We screen for movement deficiencies and common physiological problems, and we make sure that all of that data will impact our programming. Even with this emphasis on efficiency, you will find that our assessment is still much deeper than any other you will find short of seeing a clinician. This is why our workouts are able to be tailored precisely to your needs.
What Should I Expect During My Strategy Session?
When you schedule the Strategy Session with us, we will send you a confirmation email with a Health and Readiness Questionnaire for you to fill out online and a date confirmation. When you come in our staff will greet you and show you around the gym. After that one of our coaches will begin the Strategy Session which will include the following:
REVIEW OF YOUR GOALS AND HEALTH HISTORY
INBODY SCAN TO EVALUATE CURRENT BODY COMPOSITION
BLOOD PRESSURE / HEART RATE EVALUATION
FULL MOVE,MENT ASSESSMENT TO SCREEN FOR INJURIES AND ESTABLISH BASELINE OF BODILY CONTROL
CORRECTIVE EXERCISES TO PREVENT INJURY AND ENSURE OPTIMAL TRAINING EFFECT
INDIVIDUAL NUTRITIONAL AND LIFESTYLE RECOMMENDATION AND SUPPLEMENT SUGGESTIONS BASED ON GOAL
You should come dressed comfortably in workout attire so you can move freely during the movement assessment portion. You should try to avoid consuming caffeine beforehand to get a more accurate picture of your Blood PRessure/ Resting Heart Rate. The components of the Strategy Session may change depending on your goal. Please ask us any and all questions you may have related to what we do, or what to expect about your training plan! We are happy to answer them.
After the Session we will recommend a trial membership so you can immerse yourself in what we do here at BHP and experience all of our offerings.
